CROSSPOINTE ON THE GREEN
TOWNHOME ASSOCIATION, INC.
As a non-profit corporation, registered by the Secretary of State, NC, our primary purposes (Article III of Articles of Incorporation) "are to provide for the enforcement of the declaration of covenants, conditions, and restrictions relating to the care, maintenance, preservation, and architectural control of certain real property... and to promote the health, safety, and welfare of persons residing in said Development."

See North Carolina General Statutes (NCGS) 55A - Non-Profit Corporation Act, with index.

As a Planned Community Development, this means our community was carefully formed from its inception and is typically constructed on previously undeveloped land. Attention to detail is paramount - ranging from the architecture of homes to types of amenities to the scope of landscaping designs. The Developer's intent is to keep homes well maintained and in compliance with overall appearance standards.

See NCGS 47F - Planned Community Act, with index.

Governing Documents
Provide foundation for actions, decisions, rights, expectations, and rules to be followed. It is important that we know what they are, because they determine how we shape our community life. They spell out what the duties and responsibilities are for both the Homeowners' Association and its Board of Directors and for the homeowners. For the Board, especially, they provide the authority for most of their decisions. Therefore, board members and homeowners need to understand them, so that we can function as a well-ordered community.
